2½” high stacks of buttons were made with a needle & fishing line; the stacks were bundled together & "wrapped" with more fishing line

Over 4,500 buttons were used in this piece. Buttons from my great-aunt Elizabeth were the basis of the collection, with additional contributions from my mother & my aunt, as well as my own collection of old buttons. This is representative of at least three generations of women in my family.
